Creaking Noise when rolling out at a stop light
Well, any real stop. After I've cruised for a little while I'll come to a stop say at a red light. Sit there for a minute then when I start up - almost every time there is a somewhat metallic sounding "ting" that sounds like it comes from the rear end - possibly the tranny, but sounds more like rear. The car is a 2000 A4.
It's not too loud but just concerns me as to what could be making this noise. Could bushing pre-load on the LCA's do this? A shop was the last ones to mess with them so I'm not sure if they were tightened down right. It could be a loud bushing but it sounds more like metal and not like polyurethane creaking.
Could this be related to my tranny or 12 bolt? Anyone who knows let me know.
