Noisy driveline?...
The car: 1998 TA with a pro 5.0 (6 speed obviously) and Hooker catback as the only mods, 40,000 miles.
Here's my question: Should my driveline be really noisy?? I know the pro 5.0 tranny noise is normal but i get a clunk when first taking off in first and when first moving in reverse. Its almost as if the driveshaft is loose and it snaps when it catches. Also, when i make a left turn, up an incline i get a clunking/light banging noise.
Any ideas or opinions??

Re: Noisy driveline?...
It had a write up for exchanging the stock cover for the TA cover, so i guess it still applies. What should i torque my stock cover down to? The same as the TA?
Also, how hard is it to replace the front pinion seal?

Re: Noisy driveline?...
Sounds like your rear diff with problems. Could be as simple as changing to the genuine GM posi additive. When was the last time you changed the rear diff gear oil?
