on drag radials in a full lbs M6 car laucking 4-5k with 375-400 hp and maby a 100 shot once in 2nd gear, would be a DD, would that be ok or should i look in a 9" or s60

A 12 bolt would be fine. I have the same car that you are describing.

arnt there clearance problems with 9" rears and dont the rob hp on lower hp cars

I have the Moser 12 bolt and was at 540 rwhp, launching at 4000 rpm, several times I tried lauching at 6200 rpm. I had an aluminum flywheel for a while, could not get the car to launch, which is why I tried launching at such a high rpm... When I ordered my Moser 12 bolt, the Eaton was the only center they offered. The Truetrak is a much better center, and is pretty much the only one I sell now for the 12 bolt. I can almost guarantee you though, that after repeated 4000 rpm launches with any 12 bolt, that the rear will get louder. It hasn't hurt anything on my 12 bolt, but the rear has picked up quite a bit of noise. We have not seen this happen with the Moser 9 inch, and it is the one I would go with after you are at the 500 rwhp level. On a stock height F Body, it should not hit anything under the chassis. It may rob a little more power than the 12 bolt, but I feel it is worth it, at least on the six speed cars. Bob

if i dyno 400rwhp with the 12b how much would i dyno with the 9". and exactley how many more lbs is it?

co.6z28 05-15-2006 03:02 PM

i have no clearance problems or doubt that i will ever break it....with a 12 theres always that chance and get used to the gear wine if u beat on it

bad6as 05-15-2006 03:16 PM

do you think ill be ok with teh 12b, i dont like that fack that i dont have abs

co.6z28 05-15-2006 03:41 PM

odds are the 12 bolt will be ok...i went with the 9" due to the shock a m6 put on the drivetrain.

besides race cars dont need abs LOL

I broke my 12bolt with stock internals and drag radials.
