410s in an auto kick much ass

Cchris1109 May 19, 2006 03:32 AM

i did it

but since i didnt have a cam or stall my top end blew......like a hooker in vegas
after 1st gear you could feel it was too much gear and i wasnt getting power

i would say it would be suck for DD since your stall and cam will already put you down in the streetablility, get another car if you go with 4.10s, or stick with the 3.23s

*my highway speeds were past 3k*

If u want to haul then get a bigger Torque converter (stick w/ 3.73's) but 4.10's will make a difference.. and would consider true duals if u want better top end...

I wouldn't go with 4.10s if you DD. You will be around 3k (I may be wrong) at 60mph on the HW I think. I would def. go with a larger stall (3500+). Is your car a 3 series carrier? If so Thunder Racing has 3.90s for a 3 series. If you're a 2 series like me I think 3.73 gears would be your best bet since no one offers 3.90s yet.

you can always get a spacer for 2 series and run 3 series gears

ohsofast May 19, 2006 11:28 AM

If your car is a DD you have to go w/3.73. On the highway at 80 you will be at 3,000 I hate that. You will fill a difference with those gears though

I'm getting 4.56s :) A4... weekend warrior...

thanks guys.. i really didnt care much for gas mileage.. i dont commute far anyways. if anybody else has input on 4.10 in an auto post it. but i hear 3.73 is the biggest for an auto i hear for a daily driver. i guess i want a gear that pulls from a dig, roll..

No Regrets! Gas mileage aint great but shoot out like a bat out of hell. :bat_angel.

gun5l1ng3r May 19, 2006 01:35 PM

What do you mean the top end power sucks? How could that be?

98formulaMAH May 19, 2006 01:39 PM

i vote 3.73's with a 3800-4000 stall. MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL A SHIFT KIT!!!! save your tranny as much as possible!!!.

that cam should also put your high horses up there too!

good basic setup though!
