im pulling my hair out!!! help! im installing 3.73's on my '94 10 bolt t/a. I've put them in and taken them out 4 times! all the shims and bearings are new along with the ring and pinion.
when i get on the road, the gears makes a high pitched whine and vibrate lightly especially from the speeds of 45-65 in cruise control. It whines when i barely touch the throttle, and stops as soon as i let off the gas.
i have put gears in before, but ive never had this problem. im sure i put these in right. all the shims and bearings are clear, so what could it be? my buddy's stumped too, and im sick of taking my rear end apart!!!!

Post up some pattern pics so we can help you set it up right. Please also let us know what manufacture of gear set you puchased, patterns do differ from maunfacture to manufacture.
