Will my rear handle this??? I have a 99 T/A A4
Best time so far is 11.93 with a 1.64 60ft.
Now that N/A and STOCK internals.
My goal was to hit 11's N/A and I finally did it.
Now I am CONSIDERING a head and cam package and I'm worried about my rear and tranny.
I have a girdle and stud kit on already.
I also already have all the suspension stuff done except for tubular K-Member.
Thoughts????

If you flash it you may have probs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Will my rear handle this??? Youll be risking your rear end ,because with H/C youll be pushing well over 400rwhp and 400rwtq ,and I believe the stock rear end could only handle around 400tq.
Re: Will my rear handle this??? Ron, in all honesty i dont think it will. Granted she may hold your first time to the track, but its gonna take its toll very fast launch after launch.
but remember keith(10secss), well he was cutting 1.4's on his stock 10 bolt <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> but i dont think she held to long. He also gave me some wise advice. I asked how do you not blow that rear on those launches? He said, "I try to blow it everytime." <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Will my rear handle this??? That car (10SECSS) still has that same 10 bolt with 3.73 in it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Did the real cecil mod to the stock 3.23 / posi.. went to 3.73 and much faster after that... 10.4's on the gas with 1.4 60fts.
