Changing to 3:73's I'm going to be changing to 3:73's pretty soon and I was wondering how to set backlash in the rearend and what tools are needed. How did you guys do it? Any bad experiences with these? How many shims did you have to use to get it set right? What tools did you use to set it up? P.S. it's an A4 with the stock reaer currently in it. Any help will be greatly appreciate!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> |

Re: Changing to 3:73's If you've never installed gears before, I wouldn't even attempt it on your own. The 10 bolts are very prone to gear noise, and even some of the best professionals cannot install a set without some noise. I'm not saying that you are not capable of the job, but I'd have someone who has experience with the 10 bolt do the install. |
