3.73's or 4.10's?
i had some motive 4.10's, which led to the destruction of my rearend and gears 1/2 in the trans. ive since toned down some and currently have slp 3.73's. based on the mods i have listed in the sig, would i make better dyno stats with the 4.10's or the 3.73's? ok LS1 brains help me out

I went with the SLP (GM/AAM) 4.10's, but added the Rear end girdle to go with it. I think it's a must for 4.10s and 400+ fwhp. Make sure it's the kind with the bolts through to the carrier bearing main caps... I know these gears have been like adding 25-50 HP in some close contests...

well ill admit, there was a noticeable diff between the motive 4.10s and the slp 3.73's. out of curiosity would normally make better dyno stats with 4.10s or 3.73's? the numbers i made were when i had the 4.10's

Don't choose your gear ratio by what it will read on the dyno. Regardless of what the dyno reads, if 3.73s dyno higher than 4.10s, which they will, the 4.10s will rain supreme at the track and on the street.
Just like converters in autos hurt the dyno number, but help everywhere else, so do steeper gears.
