02's need skip shift?

Hey Folks I just purchased an 02' SS and I need to know if I need the skip shift eliminator. I will be picking up the car on Sat so I want to have this b4 then. Thanks for helping a M6 NEWBIE.

From my understandin all the manuals need the skip shift becaue they had to put that crap on all the cars to meet emissions.

They put the skipshift on there to meet emissions regulations, but you can remove it without any harm done. It doesn't affect your O2s. The computer won't know the difference. You'll want to do this mod, as cags quickly becomes a royal pain in the ass.

It would make lots of sense to switch everything into the SS so the TA will be lighter, but then I have to hack apart another brand new car. I am not sure if I want to do this yet. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
