I was talking to the Helfer brothers(they drag race for a living) this weekend and on there SS/KA 98 T/A they run 30x9x15 slick with 5.13 gears. They get mad air on the launch.(From what I have found out, most guys in stock elim. run this combo) They said that the taller side wall would help me be more consisent in my short times(60ft to 330ft)and run faster Et's. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

What do you guys think? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I know I will have to have the fender wells opened up some. With the 6 speed I should be ok, driving the Hot Rod on the street some. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Ragtop: Iam not really have a problem with my 60fts. I did have a problem with my 60fts at Ennis(Motorplex)the Hot Rod would not hook up at all. I was off a little this weekend at TAD 1.55's to 1.58's. Normal there is 1.53 to 1.55. Iam just looking for more consisent 60fts if I can. My set up right now is 28x10x15 Goodyear slicks, Moser 12 bolt, 33 spline axles and a spool with 4.56 gear and I have every BMR suspension opiton the have. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Hi Coach. It sounds to me that you're really thinking about turning that badboy of yours into a full-fledged NHRA Stock Eliminator car! I think everyone here believes you have the talent to do it! I've seen quite a few people run some sick 60-foots with M6s with 28" or less tires...(nineball, mic5ey, etc)

but I like the idea personally <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Are you having problems with your current combo or just thinking about changing for the hell of it? Seems like consistency at a track with bad prep would be improved but I'm unsure why ET would improve over a properly geared 28" tire set-up, assuming a 28" will hold your power.

I think that it would make the car more consistent and et better mph I do not know but being a drag racer the only thing thats important is et of course.
