worth doing 4:10's?

i have a 97 ws6 m6 with stock 3.42's. Is it worth doing 4.10 gears or should i just get headers and a y pipe for a nice sounding car?

im also going to have to get an install kit to rebuild my rear-end

4.10's all day. Even if you drive the car as a DD you wont be able to tell. You just might actually use 6th gear on the highway.

Yes, get full exhaust & gears.....once u do, u won't be able to keep ur foot pressed to the floor at all times:)

id definetly do both. Your going to feel the 4.10s more, but you will like the sound of the headers.
If it was me, id do the 4.10s first, just because doing headers on an LT1 SUCK!

actually its easier on an LT1 to me since the LS1's heads are on more of an angle.

hum..ive heard that from a couple people before. i just remember going headers on my LT1. God what a pain in the ass. it took a good 8-10 hours to do the job. i got the headers on my LS1 done in about 4 1/2-5. Maybe i just had a bad experience.

did you do it from the bottom on the LS?

Do the headers and do the gears when you buy a better rearend don't spend the money putting gears in the 10 bolt.
