Default TC AND GEARS?

IM JUST WONDERING IF I SHOULD GET A VIG.3200 AND SOME 3.73 GEARS IN MY 98 IT HAS 2.73 GEARS NOW.

3.73s might be a great idea. If you plan on some serious launches you might save your cash for a 12-bolt.

As far as the converter choice, what tires, mods, and usage do you plan on?

Get the converter first and see if you like it. Once you have a Vig 3200, gears will not help that much. Maybe a tenth.

I'd plan out your strategy before spending a lot of cash. Like the Colonel said, if you are going with power adders, I would not switch gears until you are ready to invest in a 12 bolt.

For now, I would keep the 2.73s, buy the Vig 3200 or a Yank PYE 3600 (if power adders are pretty certain), and get LS1Edit so you can gain full control over your tranny.
