What to look for to make sure it's a rear w/ abs

I think I got a rear w/ no abs. What do I look for to make sure I that my rear has abs either to make sure I don't have it or I know what to look for now when I go buy a rear. Thanks

easy :) a reluctor ring on the ring gear, its a ring that gets bolted to the ring gear. or a plug on top of the "pumpkin" with a wire coming off it.

a rear with abs will have both of those

I know about the plug on top of the pumpkin and thats what cut, but the part your talking about the reluctor ring on the ring gear I don't know about. May you please describe this a lil better for me or show me pics. I'm kind of Dee Dee Dee with this kind of stuff.

all the rears had abs. its just wether or not you have tcs. if you have abs/tcs (4ch), then theres wires out at the backing plates that plug into wheel speed sensors. if there is none of those, then the car will have abs only(3ch) and there will only be one harness that goes to the sensor on the top of the rearend housing that picks up on the tooth ring next to the gear(inside the cover). the 4ch rearends will have the boss cast into the top of the rearend housing, but not bored for the sensor.

Thanks that was helpful. I guess I have the 3 channel rear, but I have to figure why that lil' sensor is not getting any signal. Thanks.
