Will driveshaft out of an LT1 fit ?

Default Will driveshaft out of an LT1 fit ?

I am about to gte my 9 inch put in my car, i came across a good deal on a Dennys driveshaft out of a 95 Z thats getting parted out, just wondering if it will work with my 01 SS......BTW both cars are 6 speeds, 9 inch with 1350 yokes.

driveshafts are interchangable from LT1 to LS1...with stock rears.

so assuming both cars have the same 9"...than the shaft should swap

It should be close enough to fit regardless although you may have to manipulate the length a little by adjusting the lower control arms.

It should be, I took my Denny's n20 ready DS that I had for my 94 z28 with a auto and moser 12 bolt and its going into my m6 2002 t/a, I put them next to each other, exact size

The automatics and the manuals use the same length driveshaft, and the LT1 and LS1 shafts are the same length. Bob

I think the LT1 driveshafts are 2.5" steel and the LS1 shafts are 3.0" aluminum, if that makes any difference to you.
