Could I benefit from a gear?
I've got a 99 A4 with a 3600 stall, shift kit, cooler, headers and a cam.
Before the cam/headers, the gear seemed pretty optimal as far as crossing the traps at a good RPM. Now though it seems like it lacks a little. It has the 3.23 gears. In the 1/8th I am in third at 4900 rpms, and at the 1/4th track I am at 5500. Would it be wise to switch up to a 3.73 or a 3.90?

3.73s with a stall are good for .1 and 1 mph in the quarter. 3.90s might get another .02 but could be worth more if you are going to run a bigger than stock tire. 3.90s are nice for NA, but if you might add spray, stay with the 3.73s.
If your traction now is borderline, 3.73s+ will push you into needing more tire.
