Default How do I remove axles on Moser 12-bolt?

I removed the 4 nuts holding the backing plate, but the axle wouldn't come out. Does Moser also use a c-clip even though the axles are held in by the backing plates?

Nope, no c-clips, but you'll need to pull a bit to get the bearings to slide out as well. They're a relatively close fit into the axle tubes.

I took a 4x4 block of wood and kind wedged it against the backing plate then hit it with a hammer and beat it out it took a few taps to get them out. And hes right there are no C-Clips.

Thanks guys. The axles came out real easy on my old Strange 12-bolt, so I didn't want to force anything.

Was there a reason you went with a moser instead of the strange? i heard that strange rears are a little better. seeing that you have had both, which one do you like better?
