Default 3 channel/4 channel questions

Ok I am going to be swapping a 4th gen rear into my 83 Z-28. I bought 2 rear ends locally. One came out of a 99 WS6, 4 channel, with 3:42 gears. It does not have the axles or backing plates though. The other rear I bought is out of an 01 Z-28, 3 channel, 2:73 gears, it has axles and backing plates. I want to use the one out of the WS6 obviously.

Is there going to be a problem with putting the axles and backing plates from the 3 channel rear into the 4 channel rear end? My car does not have traction control or ABS so I could care less about that. I am just wondering if I am going to run into any problems since Im not too familiar with the whole setup. Any help is appreciated.

Yeah since you are not concerned about making the 3 chan/4 chan work it will be fine. The backing plates are interchangeable. The 3 chan stuff just won't have a sensor hole in it and the axles won't have reluctor rings but it still all fits.
