Default Retorqueing pinion nut after gear install

I just finished my gear install yesterday. Now I'm second guessing my pinion nut. I have a solid spacer in there instead of a crush spacer. I torqued it until there was no play in the pinion. I finished the install and checked the contact patern and everything looked good. Now I was reading some threads where people have the pinion nut come loose or whining because it's not tight enough. I was scared to over torque it because my impact wrench has 345ft/lbs of torque. Now I'm thinking about going back and giving it another go to make sure it won't come loose. Since I have the solid spacer I figure it can't hurt to give it a little extra. Is it bad to retorque it with everything installed?
