Default moser 12-bolt wheel studs

Ok so I have a moser 12-bolt. Are the wheel studs that came with it strong enough and long enough to be running welds safely? especially under race conditions? I'd assume so but figured i'd ask before I do anything.

Thanks!

Moser rears can be ordered with oem size 12mm short or long wheel studs, or slightly larger 1/2" short or long studs. 5/8" is also an option. Short studs generally won't be long enough to allow threads of the studs to stick through open faced wheel nuts, which is required in many classes of drag racing.
As far as strength of Moser wheel studs, I have not had a problem with them. There was a thread on here several months ago that several people did have some Moser wheel studs break. Bob

I have ARP 1/2 20 screw in studs they are made for the job and very reasonably priced $11.99 for 5 in Jegs book. I have only seen one car in my life break 1/2 inch wheel studs, that was the Wheel to Wheel Nova making about 1500 RWHP.

Anyone know if you have to remove the axles on a moser 12-bolt rear for this?

It depends on whether the studs get threaded in, or pressed in. The pressed in generally mean the axle has to be pulled out. Bob
