Default Will my 10-bolt hold up?

I'm looking at doing an STS turbo on my car.

Will my ten bolt hold up?

What about with some MT streets?

That is a shot in the dark, you are an automatic so it'll be a little easier on the 10 bolt... but its still a shot in the dark.

But I doubt it will hold 2 long with mt's.....I have 315/35/17's on my 10 bolt with 4.10 gears and my 10 bolt is holding......I havnt really launched the car but I do get on it all the way with a m6 and nothings happened yet......but eventually it will go boom......I think, unless its a freak

No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes No. Yes
All right, as keliente subtlely stated, who the heck knows.
I do know that I have run it on my LT1 for years. I did put a T/A girdle on the diff before the turbo arrived. But it is an unknown, since we run a modified S-10 differential (thanks, GM).
How hard do you run it? How hard has it been run? How many miles does it have on it? How well has it been maintained?
I mostly run with Nitto DRs, but I put on the Firestone SZ50s when I hit the road. And I have a fund set aside for when I blow this puppy into the ozone.
I admit that I am being a bit of a smarty, but you have asked the unanswerable question. My suggestion: do what I did. Roll the dice and take your chances. The STS turbo is a hoot, to say the least. I love it.

same as all of the above who knows, if you think it will break buy a 12 bolt or a 9 inch, or just leave it and pray.

No - I don't mind 10 bolt questions...just "when will my 10 bolt break?" I don't know how many more ways to put it...it's going to break when it's going to break, and unfortunately there is no telling when that is. Sheesh. And then adding more modifications and sticky tires on top of it...when will it break?? NO ONE KNOWS!! I'm going to logout now before I have an aneurysm. It doesn't matter that there is a sticky at the top of the forum or 3 threads on the first page asking this very question, everyone wants to know if their specific set up will break the 10 bolt. Well I tell you what folks if you can break it with stock power you sure as hell aren't making it last longer by adding more **** to it. It might last 100 miles. It might last 100,000 miles!! ASAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHALFHSZDVN,WERHEWRASKDHFKASDF HKJ

I really love you guys but you all hate me apparently

STS turbo kit?? Buy a 9 inch, buy a 12 bolt and be done with it. Like that stupid rotisserie thing they sell on TV. "Set it and forget it!" That could be you - with your new aftermarket rear end.
