Default 3.90 or 4.10 in MS3 cammed SS with stock 10 bolt

Anyone with the 3.90s with this cam please chime in. Getting parts together for the gear swap and im keeping the stock 10 bolt for now because i cant afford a 12 or 9 just yet. What would suit the MS3 better with the stock rear 4.10s or 3.90s? Car may see the track once or twice a year and romps on the highway and some digs, no stickies though. Thoughts please having hard time deciding.

Go for the 4.10, a 4.30 may be too much for a stock 10 bolt, a gear you might think about though if you were going to a 9 inch

You can't get 3.90s in a stock 10 bolt, if you do alot of drag racing (hard launches), be prepared to shred your 4.10s at least once..

So to answer your question, get 4.10s.. (but you might want to also look at 3.73s)

haha didnt even notice it was 3.90 i just assumed it was 3.73. But yea the 4.10 is going to put a lot of stress on that stock rear end, so sticky tires are a huge no till you get a built rear.

But i think the 3.73's would so little difference and with that big of a cam you need at least a 4.10 to take advantage of its powerband.

You cant? I better take mine out then!!!

J/K. They are available from Motive Gear. I have a set in my car with a TV3, If I had a MS3 or MS4 I would have gone 4.10's, definetly with a 6 speed.

I decided to go 3.90's for my ms3...mods are in sig. I make a lot of power up top and wanted to have more gear for it. Plus the 3.90's will give me plenty of low end, not as much as 4.10's but for me it should be plenty. I heard of quite few guys running ms3 with spray like the 3.90's. I have my DLS built rear sitting in my garage, just waiting down time from work to ger her in.

Default Would not go any higher than 4.10'

That stock rear end will not handle for 2 long especially if You want a good sticky tire.
