Default How far can I narrow my 12 bolt with 315's

I am going to order either a 12 bolt or a 9 in and wanted to know how far i can narrow the rear end and still fit my 315 tires on an 11'' rim. I was thinking i might be able to get away with 1'' on each side and maybe have to run a 1/4'' spacer. Street i run a 315/35/17 and track a 325/45/17. 26 and 28'' tall. Let me know what you guys think.

just get diffrent wheels, moser will narrow it up to 3 inches, I did mine 2 inches each side and run 15x10 wheels 5 inch backspacing. if you have a 315 tire its probably already close to your inner fender, your not going to narrow it with out getting diffrent wheels.

yah i wasnt sure if i would be able to narrow with the 315's on there. I dont want to have to spend the extra $$$ for different wheels so i might just not get it narrowed.

Well i do need new tires now anyways so if i did switch to a 15x10'' rim and a 325/50/15 mt dr what would be the best backspacing for the wheel and how far can i naarow the rear so the wheel tuck in nicely but dont rub????

that depends on the type of wheel you want. diffrent wheels come in diffrent backspacing.

Default From personal experience.

If I had it all over I would only narrow mine 1.5 inches on each side.. If you go 3 like I did the only rims you will be able to run are drag(welds, crager, bogarts) or high dollar custom forged rims. Just my .02 cents.

Im happy with mine at 2 inches, I dont ever plan on putting 17s back on my car, I have 2 sets of rear rims, one set with ET drags and another set that ill be putting some sort of street tire on there, with my suspension set up its not worth my time putting anything but 15s on my car it dont go around turns anymore like it use to. its purty much a full drag set up on mine.

I wouldnt mind running and 15'' wheel and some 325/50/15 mt but i dont want to have to run a skinny for the fron tire. Do they sell any of the drag wheels in a 17x9(same size as stock) to match the rear 15''

so far the only thing i have been able to find is the torque thrust 2 wheels that offer a 15x10 with custom Bs and a 17x9/9.5 for the fronts since i do not want to run skinnies. If anyone knows of something better let me know.

why do you want to run 17s up front and 15s in the back, if you dont want skinnies just get a 15x6 or 8 up front.

I have a brand new set of bfg 275/40/17 kd's up front that were pretty pricey and dont want to take a huge hit selling them when i can just keep them up front.

new wheels will cost you more than those tires. running 17s in the front and 15s in the back would look like *** and not a cute womans one.
