Posi or not posi
Posi or not posi Is there an easy way to tell if a rear end is a posi or non posi?
I purchased a rear end to use in my camaro, the seller said it is a Positrac with traction control, I didn't end up using it because the gear ratio was 3:23 and I needed a 3:42.
So I sold the Rear end on ebay without verifying which it type it is, now the buyer says it is not a posi unit.
Are there any casting numbers on the housing to idenify weather or not It is a posi unit?

Been a while but... If i remember correctly you can spin one hub, if the other hub spins the same way, it's a posi. If it spins in the opposite dirrection, it's not.
