Which TC would you want?
Between a Vig 3200, which stalls anywhere from 3600-3800 with a 2.17 str
or
TCS 3500 with a 2.35 str
A little FYI, I have an 02 Trans Am with 2.73 gearing. I will never go with ET streets, only drag radials.
My current boring mods are a lid, catback, FTRA but soon to add LT headers.
Long term possibilities are NX 100 dry shot and a TR220/220 114 cam. Though those are possibilites if I get bored of running low 12's.
I only visit the track once in a while....Maybe a handful in a year.
I am looking more for streetability and from a roll.
So far I am leaning more towards the Vig 3200, because I believe the higher stall will give me a little better performance on the street from a roll, and the lower str will give me a better shot at hooking up at the track and on the street.
Or are both these TC's wussies and I won't have a problem hooking up with DR's
I drove my friends SS with 3.42 gears and a ST3500 with I believe a 3.0str....And his Michilan Pilot Sports were a cloud of smoke with 3/4 throttle, personally it was too much cause there is no chance of him hooking on the street. Though I did love the "looseness" I like the way it feels

Re: Which TC would you want?
I would go with a TCS converter because they will "customize" it for you, but can't really say on the specs you should choose, I would leave that up to the experts, give Mikey @ Rapidmotorsports or Derek @ TCS a call and just tell them what you just told us and he should be able to hook you up with the right converter for your needs. I have had a Vig3200 and it was very streetable, but my car has always been a track car so I can't really say much about hooking on the street. They should both run you about the same price, so really it's about what you want.

You didn't mention it, but the Yank Super Stock 3800 would be a better choice than the Vig or the TCS for your application. Hard launch with better top-end. Key is the tighter tolerances and the 21 blade stator.
