Default Suggestions for rear and driveshaft

Well, I'm sitting on a time bomb with my 10 bolt. I have been expecting it to break, but the past two times at the track something else decided to let go. The first time, I ripped the pads off my clutch. Then yesterday, I broke the driveshaft. Anyway, I'm going to need to upgrade my rear and driveshaft. Since I have a six speed, I think I'm going to go with a 9". My current power is 510/497 (may go up in the future). I run 315/35/17 MT ET Streets at the track. The car sees a lot of street use too. I was thinking around a 3.70 gear with a tru trac. Any opinions on this? I definitely will want a drain and fill plug. What else do I need? Yes, money is an issue.

Vendors, please feel free to PM me info, suggestions, and prices shipped to 37148 or 42104. I will need a 4 channel rear. If shipping is cheaper to a business address, I could most likely work that out too. Thanks.

I recommend (and use) a chromoly driveshaft. Strange sells one, as does Spohn, for example. Some recommend an aluminum unit, which is acceptable, although the extra cost (33%) has never been justified.

I would run a 9" and CM drive shaft. As for the 9" there are a number of options. We carry Moser and can get a great deal on those. We also have a fabricated 9" housong that incorporates a back brace, LCA adjustment brackets and a number of other features.

Feel free to contact me and we can talk over what will meet your goals and budget.

PST driveshaft has a lifetime warranty. I have sold hundreds of them, and I've only had one break. PST felt that the straps broke on the rear U Joint which caused the driveshaft to break, but they replaced the driveshaft free of charge.
