Gear install and ration reccomendations??

Gear install and ration reccomendations?? Well after some semi- disappointing runs at the track I think I'm due for a gear swap. I ran a 12.37 @ 110 with a 1.7 sec 60' on nitto's with my 2:73 rear, 26" tall tires. Other mods are in my sig. I went through the traps at about 4700 rpm.
First question- What do you guys think would be the optimal gear for my setup?
Second question- I'd like to do the gear install myself but have never attempted one before- do you know of any good recources (sites, books, articles)?

i would take it somewhere and hae the gear swap done.
Re: Gear install and ration reccomendations?? With your power levels, I'd recommend 3.73s. Here's a link to an install guide that I used to do mine the first time:

Re: Gear install and ration reccomendations?? Get it done by a pro. This is not a do-it-yourself pick up job. Do you like the piercing sound of a large industrial drill? That's what your botched install will sound like while driving around.

Last couple of trips to the track I trapped at 111.50 mph at 5000 rpm (26" tire). Anyone know where in the RPM band 3:73's would put me as opposed to 3:42's? Also, just ordered a NX wet kit, but I won't be spraying off the line.
