If you are that worried about it, get a 9'',12 bolt, or drive that car like a grandma. I have a 10 bolt still and have been deep in the 11's for a whole season before I busted the ring gear. Tear down and rebuilt again with stock gears and no twist of the splines on the axles yet. Average 60' in the 1.63-1.67 with some tire spin.

Well you guys have freaks then... Hell, I had mine whining like banshee when I had my v6 in it... Rebuilt it when i threw the LS1 in it and threw in some 3.73s and it wasnt long till she was back to normal... I'm expecting her to go out fairly soon... Oh and all ive ever ran are cheap street tires and its never been to the track... So for the 10 bolt enthusiasts

I blew my 10 bolt 3x before i bought my 12 bolt. Blew it once on the track with current setup in sig with a set of ******* and slicks launching at 6k (wasnt the first time) with 4.10's. I did that a few times and finally blew it up (that one day). 2nd time was on the track again same setup as last time, launching at 4.5k (first launch of the day) and crunch goes the rear end. Then i had my mechanic look at it he repaired it, had my street tires on and he smashed the gas and broke it right infront of the shop. So, after the 3rd repair he came up to me and said, get a 12 bolt man... you will never see me again... thats what i did, bought the 12 bolt w/ 3.73's for street/strip purposes and havent looked back.
