no clearance problems here here is a side shot from a Midwest Chassis fabricated 9 inch rearend installed. this is old picture from one of the first rearend housings i did for the f-body. this is the full size 9.5 ring gear housing and note the amount of clearance to the fuel tank in particular. this car is a 99 and is equipped with a plastic tank and now has 4 inch exhaust. the new design housings that are now in production have almost another 1 inch more clearance than this housing.

that is on a car lowered 1 inch. the new design housings have even more clearance. the 3 channel sensor can go in the back or the top with no clearance problems.
