Broken Axle
I have a 2SS stick shift with 700 miles on it. I broke the right axle at the out tripod. Not sure what happened, there wasn't any wheel hope and it was at the top of 2nd when it let loose.

You are not the only one, there is 1 or 2 other reports of the same issue on Camaro5. What do you mean at the outer tripod? Is that a code word for the spline, because somebody else called it that too. Do you have any pics by any chance?

OK, I see now, I found some pictures of a tripod, it is a different style cv joint than I am used to, didn't know the name. Does the camaro use a typical cv joint with 6 ***** and raceways or does it use the tripod joint? I think the tripod may be more for fwd or 4wd applications where more articulation is required.

All of your non topic posts have been deleted. All of you behaved poorly, and said inappropriate things to each other. Shape up or you all get time outs. I'm not baby sitting . . . .
Now, lets keep the post on subject.

When you are making your post click on Advanced.
Then look down and click on Manage Attachments.
Then click on one of the Browse buttons. Find the file on your computer and then double click on it.
Then click on Upload.
After all of that when you click on Submit Reply the picture should be attached.
The picture won't attach if it is too big. In that case we can help you resize it or you can take the picture again on a lower quality setting from your digital camera...
Hope that was helpful.
