cylinder 5 misfire - clutch position - Stabilitrack - sounds and runs like hell Evening all, hoping you can help me narrow this down. Driving into work my engine started misfiring. It was all of a sudden so I was hoping it was simple wiring problem however driving it home I now have a loud clicking. I don't think it's related to the cylendar, I can feel it in the peddle. It's almost like something is hitting the flywheel. Car is a 2010 with 55k miles and only mods I'm aware of is a Borla cat-back. Really praying this isn't major. Error codes are (P0305) cylinder misfire and (P0806) clutch position sensor circuit out of range. Also have stabilitrak errors on dash. I've looked over some of the grounding wires. Everything seems in order. Thoughts/ideas welcome. Appreciate your time and advice. |
Looks like it might be major. #5 cylinder spark plug is a little smashed. I can see broken spring causing valve and cylinder coming together but how the hell would it hit the spark plug? Bent valve? Hoping my rotating assembly is OK. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/ls1tech...0e42a6a645.jpg |
It sounds like a broken piston to me. Bob |
I have the same issue 2014 camaro 2ss 6.2 v8 same exact symptoms. Stabilitrack error on dash, misfire cylinder 5, and clutch pedal position sensor code. did you find a resolution? I have done injectors, plugs, wires, coils, and compression test. Everything is good with those. I'm kind of at a loss. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! |
