No kidding. The 6 speed availability in the 4th gens was a joke. You have to search far and wide to even find a manual, but automatic cars seem to be on every street corner. That's a bit silly for a car like this, in my opinion.

Z28 has been the no but performance (high revving)

IMO the labeling needs to be switched
but good ot know a big boy is coming out
Yup. Same here.

Motor Trend couldn't confirm that the sky is blue so I wont hold my breath. 90% of the time they just publish stuff like that to sell magazines.

BUT...as long as they build it, they can call it whatever they want!
NO....Zl1 needs a 427, or it will be a joke on the zl1 name

my grandfather was a mechanic and sometimes driver for the dick harrell zl1 camaro.

By that logic we couldn't have Z28's with anything other than a 302 and the Z06 'Vette would need a 36.5 gal fuel tank!

very true, which I would like to see a small high reving lsx on the track.

I just think the ZL1 should be taken more to the meaning since they are rare and not a run of the mill Camaro

Question

I am very interested in which was the faster car back in the day. The SS or Z28? I first read about the new Z28 on a computer forum and they have been debating which is better. The SS or Z28.

http://hardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1453629

I never followed the old cars and all the different engines, so I have no idea.

Gives people who are not in the position to get one now a chance to save money.

its has more hp than a zo6 and will cost more than a regular vette. I understand weight is different, but people who dont know about cars will talk alot of trash about them with the corvettes being the same thing.

I am not worried about it until it happens.

Because of the new union contracts, labor is cheaper. The Z28 should not be in the same ball park as the Vette.

Yeah, I read the article, they still need to make money so they will charge more than they should either the dealer or chevy them selves .
