Default L99 w/bolt ons went 12.45 on a 1.9 60'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJBVQBzM800

Car only has a rotofab intake, dynatech headers and a yank 3600. Not too bad, I was hoping for a 12.3, but now I think it has a 12.2 in it. It was a bit chilly and with Nitto 555r's it still only managed a best 1.9 60'

Anyways here the run stats.

60' 1.93
330 5.28
1/8 didnt pop up on my slip?
1000' 10.44
1/4 12.45
mph 110.9

I know. It was cammed too. It was a hillbilly kid who just sold his pickem up truck for it.

The track was Gateway and it was like 36 degrees, which I know helped on the top end, but not so much on the 60'. I have a few more trans tweaks after looking at my data log. Im going to try to keep it from hitting 4th at the end.

Gateway has been the site of a lot of fast 5th gen passes. I think that's nhra stockers home track and he holds the stock record. Very nice.

LOL, I was hoping for a 12.3 coming from a 12.7 before the stall. I was just too cold to hook good on 20's imo. Once I have the trans tune dialed in and its a bit warmer I think the time will come down more.

Nice run but you should be able to get in the low 12's. A couple of G8s with the same mods have run 12.16 and 12.13

good job considering conditions...you running a drag radial? I cut a 1.9 on the Pirrellis' last fall...I'd love to have that converter and some 18s on the back.

throw some 18' drag radials and flash that converter i dont see why you shouldnt be 60' high 1.60's which should put you deep down in the 12's

With 36 degree temps, its a wonder you could hook at all! I know you will do better with a warmer day at the track!

Considering that **** 60, it's a damn good time. C'mon folks; this isn't a 1.6 we're talking about.

After I got the tuning guide from TheTuningSchool.com you see how much tuners leave out, plus I added the stall since then. Im not faulting the shops as the trans is still new and the most recent hptuners beta is still only weeks old.

I just noticed he's running on 20" wheel so assuming he's on street tires some better sneakers will make a big difference.
