Default Question about factory exhaust

There's an option to upgrade the exhaust. What exactly is this upgrade? I cant fin any info on it, except the aftermarket upgrades such as Corsa and Magnaflow and such...

No factory upgrade. Dealer installed maybe.

Well yeah theres an option on the Chevrolet website when you build a Camaro, says Exhaust Upgrade...Just curious as to what it is

i see it too, looks like the option is $995 and I quote "Upgrade the look and sound of your Camaros exhaust system with one of our tuned, emissions-legal bolt-on exhaust kits. They deliver a great performance sound and reduced restriction, which promotes increased power - especially when combined with other performance parts." I do see that it is under dealer installed options.

Its prolly just a rear muffler upgrade to a one that flows a lil better but still quiet I got a freind that did that to a 09 gt costed 700+ for two stainless mufflers and tips not really worth it

I thought I read somewhere that the optional muffler upgrade was actually made by Borla for GM . . .

Last time i seen it was on the GM website were u build your car and you could get shorty headers too and it was threw GMMP.

they're dealer installed accessories, just like mud flaps and running boards and stuff... they have a shifter, axle back exhaust, air intake, shorty headers, sub/amp system, and other stuff...

man none of that is listed in the build a camaro on the part of the website
