Thumbs up ProCharger-equipped MagnaFlow 2010 Camaro SS on Power Tour

Posted on June 3rd, 2010 by ProCharger

With the official start of summer just around the corner, hot rod and performance car enthusiasts from around world will be taking to the highways as part of Hot Rod Magazine’s annual Power Tour. Included in this week-long adventure will be numerous ProCharger-equipped cars, trucks and SUVs, include an awesome 2010 Camaro SS that is being driven and shown by the folks from MagnaFlow Exhaust Products.

Equipped with the awesome-sounding MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust system, this 2010 Camaro is equipped with a ProCharger HO Intercooled Supercharger System with an optional, larger front-mounted air-to-air intercooler. Running just 6 psi of intercooled boost from the P-1SC-1 ProCharger to the otherwise stock LS3 engine, the MagnaFlow car put down more than 535 rear-wheel horsepower before heading out on Power Tour.

MagnaFlow is making their fourth appearance on the Hot Rod Power Tour, so be sure to stop by the MagnaFlow Big Rig to check out their ProCharged 2010 Camaro SS and their complete line of stainless steel performance exhaust systems.

This year, don’t miss your chance to meet Chip Foose in person on Day 1 at the MagnaFlow Big Rig at the Iowa Speedway. Foose will be available for photos and autographs from 10 AM to 12 PM and again from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, June 5.

That's a nice looking car, but I don't think the air intake could be in a worse spot. What are the IAT's on a 90 degree day?

The air intake does indeed look to be in a bad location, but between the inlet air location and the blower heating the air when it compresses it, the intercooler does a very good job of cooling the air before the engine sees it. The air inlet is basically in the same location on the newer Mustangs, and they don't seem to have any problems with the location. Bob
