Lethal Racing - cam/centri sc build
Hi,
After having another shop's cam installed in my Camaro for the last year or more I decided it was time to up the quality of the cam and valve train in my car since I race it pretty often at the track
Shawn & Mike at LETHAL RACING in Lafayette, La. are friends of mine so I decided to go there since Shawn's years of tuning and installs along with Mike's attention to detail is exactly what I want in a shop since I'm also a mechanic and do A LOT of my own work. Andy is their shop assistant and is also a great guy. This shop is very nice and very clean. Brand new lifts and DYNOCOM dyno. Can't ask for more
First on the agenda was the new cam. I previously had .600/.600 lift cam and single comp behive springs. With an ECS centri going in, this would'nt cut it.
Shawn designed a new cam with .600/.615 lift "NIGHT FURY CAM". That along with a new oil pump, double springs, titianium retainers and chrome moly push rods.
Here is the new cam at idle. The car has KOOKS headers/cats and straight pipes and ADM cai/scoop, ported Vmaxx tb and ported LS3 intake

I was happy to attend a big car show in which Shawn and Mike asked me to bring my car to be in their vendors display. I was even happier when I took 1st place in the 2000-up class
I have already installed the full BMR rear suspension in the car along with Nitto Drag Radials

After talking With Shawn and Mike through out the day at the show, and drooling over the Camaro ECS supercharger kit they had on display I decided- what the hell, its time to step up to the next level! I've also been studying the blower options for a while now and this is the set up that really stood out to me.
SO.............here is the list of parts going onto the car in this next step of the build. They should be all arriving this coming week.
ECS blower kit set at 7-8psi
http://www.lethalracing.com/ECS-2010...-Kit_p_73.html
1400hp axles from PASCHAL PERFORMANCE
twin disk clutch(had not decided on which one yet)
BMR drive shaft loop
Stewart Warner boost gauge mounted in the Fesler single pod pillar mount.
Got the Fesler piller mount in and wrapped it in the same carbon fiber vinyl as some of the pieces under my hood
a little meth for lower IAT's anyone??
removed battery post and smoothing strut tower
parts are going in
BOOST-A-PUMP and intercooler installed
SHOP PIC
And this is the progress as of now
updates:
drive shaft saftey loop
axles installed
intercooler

Lets keep those low numbers in perspective. 10lbs of boost...NO Meth and 10 degrees of timing. Don't like to go much over 600 without meth so I did back the boost down until the meth is installed next week. I believe we will see closer to 700 at that point. IMHO this is definately a Badazz Package. Thanks to Nick for allowing us to put this together for him!!!!!! Hope you guys Enjoy the Video.

very nice car and nice numbers too. What clutch did you end up going with? I'm torn between the Hendricks Street Slayer Twin and the Mantic 9000. My nubers were a bit lower then yours before meth but I have the Vortech V3. I really need to get that cam and throw some meth at my car.
