Question Weak links of 5th Gen

Are there any weak links with the 5th Gens such as the 10 bolt problem with the 4th Gens etc?

Thanks

Just like the 4th it depends on how hard your going to run it. Wheel hop will brake axles and there are a few parts out that will fix the wheel hop. There are alot of guys running low 12 mid 11s on stock parts and just bolt-ons and cams. If you want to build a 10 sec car, then just like any car it will need some work. Transmisions have had there probs, so have the rears. But most guys are pretty trobble free with bolt-ons and cams.

We have broken the stock passenger axle, driveshaft, and output shaft in the Tremec T6060. Now we have a turbo 400, PST one piece aluminum driveshaft, and a set of Gforce axles and the car has been 10.60s at 127mph consistently. They have there problems from the factory but they can be fixed relatively easy with some aftermarket parts.
