Default [VR] Camaro Z/28 Stage V with MAST Heads / Kaotik Camshaft - 573rwhp/516rwtq

The modification bug has hit several Z/28 owners recently, and we're holding nothing back on the naturally aspirated performance packages that we are putting together for the owners! This was our second Stage V Z/28 to come through in 3 weeks, and we simply can't get enough of them. This particular customer has built several cars with us so far, and his blacked out Z/28 was the next in the roster to receive the Vengeance treatment.

Being no stranger to both performance and aesthetics with his builds, this customer opted to go all the way with our Stage V naturally aspirated performance package, as well as our custom billet Vengeance Racing valve covers, coil relocation, and a set of DMH electric cutouts for a bit more noise when he's out tearing up the streets and track. Typically this package includes the WCCH Stage II CNC LS7 cylinder heads, however this customer wanted to squeeze every bit of power possible out of his LS7, and opted to upgrade to the MAST Black Label 285cc 6-bolt cylinder heads that feature much higher flow as well as improved valve angle and the signature MAST titanium/stainless valve comination. These heads combined with our Kaotik camshaft were the heartbeat of the valvetrain to push this Z/28 into the high 500rwhp range while still retaining excellent street manners.

The modification list on this car is heavy, and includes only the best performance parts available for the LS7:
  • MSD Intake Manifold Fully Ported by VR
  • Nick Williams 102mm Drive by Wire Throttle body
  • MAST Motorsports 285cc Black Label LS7 Cylinder Heads
  • ARP Head Bolts
  • Comp High Performance Lifters
  • Vengeance Racing Custom Camshaft
  • Vengeance Racing Hardened Pushrods
  • Trunion Upgrade
  • Katech C5R Timing Chain
  • ARP Cam Bolts
  • ATI 10% Underdrive LS7 Damper
  • American Racing stainless long tube header system with CATTED X pipe
  • NGK TR55 Spark Plugs
  • VR High Temp protective Heat Sleeves
  • 160* Thermostat
  • Billet Catch Can with AN Fittings/Lines
  • Vengeance Racing High Flow Fuel Injectors
  • Custom ECU Calibration- Street & Dyno

The result was an extremely strong 573rwhp and 516rwtq!!

MSD is the intake to have on an LS7, makes more power up top than a FAST. Ported MSDs are seeing ridiculous gains.

Edit: Awesome Z28, love that GM put the LS7 into a fifth gen!

Exactly. We have seen significant increases in power swapping from the FAST 102 to the MSD, and usually a 20-25rwhp gain on these engines going from OEM to the MSD (with a stock TB).
