WIW? wrecked '13 ZL1 35k on it
 

wondering what a 13 ZL1 is worth wrecked? A good friends car was killed the other night when another driver pulled in front of him and wham!
car was well kept, M6 car. front end is toast vehicle did run still, wheels all ok maybe all tires and OD ins s/b paying and he's wanting to keep the car and part it out. we have no idea what the ins is going to say the value is for him to keep it - any ideas?

Honestly, valuing a special edition car with no pictures is very hard. Depends on whats valuable on the car and whats still good. You say it runs, but if the engine has a broken ear on it or a crack, the engine went from being worth a few thousand, to a few hundred. The transmission and rear might be worth money to someone with a SS as a swap, same with the seats and interior.

Depending on whats broken, I would figure between $6k-8k. Remember, this is just a educated guess.

I used to tow for all the insurance companies, wrecks only, and Ive seen alot of situations similar to this. Your location does matter but not a huge amount. Depending on how bad the damage is I would guess around 7k myself but be prepared to haggle with the insurance company and fight to save money. It's all about money to them, being good with the right things to say can definitely be beneficial.

OK I have the car, rad lost coolant I'm assuming cracked. Nothing got into engine and it runs and drives fine (had to clearance RF fender around tire) frame horns bent to drvr side about 6", bags are blown, windshield cracked from bags so its either doner time or part it out time he ended up out of pocket about 5500$! to keep it what a deal!
the engine should fit fine in my 69 :)

Probably $8-10k there in parts between the drivetrain, interior, wheels/tires, exhaust, spoiler, etc... depending on condition of course.

Did the rocker panels survive unharmed?

yes rockers fine, doors may have some damage from fenders - neither fender survived sadly. thinking of looking for theft vehicle or flooded one to rebody or may part out and retrofit in my 69

Do you still have any parts available?

sold car complete as roller but have the zl1 stb and fans, trunk mat left
