Could you really order a Stipper 4th Gen? I'm not particularly familiar with them. Unless it was a radio and A/C delete, I'd hardly consider them a stripper, and I'm almost positive there is no Radio or A/C delete for the new Camaro

Doubt they even have window cranks near the assembly plant. Power locks and power windows aren't heavy items anyway. Neither is cruise or a rear defroster. A/C weighs more than the other items I'll bet. Power windows on the 4th gens was lighter than the roll your own method, FYI.

And yes I thought there was some point during the 4th gen's run that you could still order the car and delete AC and radio from the factory, it might've been only during the early LT1 days though, not positive there.
I even thought during the first year (1998 only) of the LS1 that there was still a way to order a true stripper 1LE as well but I haven't confirmed that.
That's 100% true.

Mines a true stripper SS. M6, No power windows, no power locks, manual cloth seats, no cruise, no traction control, no defrost, has hard-top and a tape deck. It weighed in at 3340lbs when it was stock! That's almost 200lbs. lighter than my last SS with all the options.

The original 1LE came with radio delete, a/c delete, manual windows and locks, and no fog lights along with upgraded suspension. I think you could order the original 1LE until 2000. '01-'02 it was a SLP option.

You might have been able to get a LT1 1LE without AC and radio but not an LS1 car.
LS1 1LE's were manual door locks, crank windows, cloth seats, no refroster, tape deck, and no foglights.

While it would make total sense that one would be able to get a 1LE (which consisted of some suspension (Bilstein shocks) and mild brake changes by this point) and also have it be the lightest model available, I don't think that one could actually get a 1SC car with the 1LE package, at least not after 1998 (I do believe that there was still a way to order a 1SC car with 1LE in 1998 only).
My brother and I both ordered 2000 Z28 hardtop 1SC cars (mine in auto, his with a manual) in November of 1999 and he was considering the 1LE option but it actually was not available unless one also ordered at least the 1SB package (power windows/door locks, driver's seat, cruise control etc.).
But I could be wrong.
