5ht Gen Anxiety
I am having 5th gen anxiety. Years ago my wife and I made a pact. On my 50th birthday I can get a Vette. No way now! A 5th gen Camaro has to grace my garage. I am looking at the time between ordering one and having it delivered, about two months now. I will be 50 in december. I expect to be ordering in october if all stays the same. Waiting is a b****. Please tiime move faster ! I cannot wait! I read that an HUD may be available by then so that makes the wait more bearable.

If I was 49 I definetly wouldn't want time to move faster.... but if you're 49 and waiting for a Camaro, then I can understand. I'm in the same boat. My dealership isn't getting any more 1SS camaro's in till the end of next week. At least I only have to wait till then...I hope.

I know how you feel. I am going on a year with no Camaro and I am getting really impatient. Worrying about getting a house, having a baby, and keeping a job before I can buy the car. I can't wait!

Don't jump the gun. You're just getting caught up in a Camaro craze because it's FINALLY coming out after all these years of drumming up hopes. Don't go ordering one yet because when the craze dies down, you may find yourself full of regret. Sit on your decision for awhile and decide for yourself if you REALLY want a new Camaro over a Corvette. Remember, a Corvette is almost 800 pounds lighter, so not only are you getting a better looking car IMO, but you're getting a much faster, likely more reliable (thanks to the massively lighter weight) car that will probably holds its value better as well. Just think it through over a long period of time before you make a decision and for goodness sake, drive a couple Camaros first! You might not even like it! As they become more prevalent and you start seeing them around everywhere, they won't seem so special anymore and the excitement will fade.

I saw a 5th gen for the first time in person last night and I've gotta say that it looks alot better in real life than pictures. When i first came up on it I thought it was a new charger, which really makes me like it less, due to the fact that looks too similar to the charger and mustang. But it still looked better than I thought it would. Personally I'd wait for a Z/28 production model or go ahead for the C6.

I dont think I would ever actually buy a vette because I just see so many damn people driving them its crazy, although I would love one of course.
I hope the Camaro doesnt become like this tho? Im not too sure if it will though because the majority of people who drive vettes (round here at least) are rich/wealthy, and the camaro i dont think is seen as an 'expensive & flashy' vehicle.

I test drove a C6 and didn't like the fit I couldn't get comfortable. I have my '02 that I love to death although it's been down for two months. My '02 Z28 is my fourth f-body. I have sat in a fifth gen but not driven one yet (hello Scott). I really enjoy the people I have met driving my '02. I am going even crazyer right now driving either a 2000 Galant or a '03 ML350. I currently have no speed in my life which makes it hard not to pull the trigger and buy one today. I do have a need for speed! When my Z went down I had just taken my first 1/8th times down to 8.5. I thought that was pretty good with a ful bolt on only convertible. Fontana was friday and I crashed it on thursday. My best in the 1/4 was 13.2. I was hoping to get in the 12's. All on street tires.
