Ouch! I would take one if it was free, but I wouldn't go searching for the V6/AT combo.

You gotta remember that sales are the only thing thats going to save GM. The v6 might be the little brother to the V8, but it appeals to a much wider market share starting at only 22,000 dollars, keeping our v8's in production.

To the wheels, not at the crank.

LS1 Fbodies generally dyno 300hp to the wheels, thats 345ish hp to the flywheel. And the LS1 has about 100ft.lbs more torque than the 2010 V6 Camaro...

GM has built a badass V6 car, looks like it wont be enough to save them though. The American auto industry is in a nose dive to failure.

The original LS-1 was factory rated in the F-Body Z28 at 305, SS at 320.

Thats what I was talking about.

Yes, underrated, but that was the factory number.

A comparable fourth gen will be at least a few hundred pounds lighter, maybe as much as 500.

I havent heard much about stats on the new camaro, what is the 1/4 mile, 0-60, ect...?
I know they are going to be around 420+/- hp. and the LS1 f-body has around 300hp and they ran 13.2-13.6. and i also know that every 100lbs adds .1 of a sec. in the 1/4.
