Default Hows The 2010 Camaro Doing...?

So I know Ive seen a whole bunch of owners on here... many videos of them running and being put on the dyno. But I was wondering does anyone really know how their selling?

What I DONT get.. Is why hasnt Chevrolet made commercials for the Camaro!?!? I think more of that kind of advertisement would help out.. I mean you can go to a Chevy dealership and there have a couple if that on the showroom. Its def not like if you go to a Ford dealership... You will see the 2010 Mustangs all over their lots... Now I guess thats just because Chevy didnt make as many Camaros? Ill be driving and see the 2010 Mustangs all over the roads... Ive only seen a couple of Camaros driving on the streets.

Dont get me wrong.. I LOVE the 2010 Camaro. I just wish that Chevrolet would do more advertisement and producing... but now their bankrupt so life sucks! I just feel like the Camaro could do just as good as the Mustang if those measurements were taken.. I mean the Camaro V6 & V8 gets better gas millage & the price comparison isnt to bad for the Camaro being a new car.. and their both more powerful...

Thats just my two cents.... haha

Given the Sorry state GM is in thanks to its amazing management (ha!) they cant afford to do many TV ads but I have seen quite a few that do include a 2010 Silver V6 camaro at times....then transformers ads as well helps.

As far as sells, last we saw they were extending production at the factory to meet demands which is a good thing.

They have over 20,000 sold orders, so far so good. I think the ads will come when they are more readily available at the dealerships. I think they have put a lot of money into internet ads, I see ads for the Camaro on lots of different websites. They are also being cautious about what they advertise right now, trying to improve public image, etc. Right now they can't build them fast enough to keep up with demand, so that is certainly a good sign.

The reason that there isn't much advertising on the 2010 Camaro is probably because Obama hasn't appointed an advertising Czar yet for Government Motors.

They are all sold out here in Oklahoma, can't even find one to test drive that doesn't already have an owner.

Yeah and I doubt the Camaro will be high on their list of cars to advertise!

The plant that builds them is now working extra days to try and step up production. Several thousand buyers still do not have their cars yet. So, the only cars you are likely to see at a dealership are the ones marked up over MSRP by crooked shady dealers.

Several billboards around Houston have the new Camaro on them, BTW.

Obviously you have no clue what you are talking about.

For Chrysler, however, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court has capped the automaker's marketing budget at about $65 million for the next nine weeks.

GM does not do the advertising. Holding media and ad agencies do. GM's media is credited by agencies within Interpublic and Publicis, in which GM is actually currently in debt to.

GM is still waiting to hear how much the same court would authorize it to spend on advertising during its Chapter 11 phase. According to sources familiar with GM's budgets, it had spent about $300 million in the last couple of upfronts. That figure was expected to decrease this year even before GM filed for Chapter 11 protection.

But also, they cant afford NOT to in order to compete with Ford and other carmakers.

I havn't seen one in person yet either- on the streets.

Only one I saw was at a car show a few months ago.

I hope to see a variety of colors, soon. Maybe it will start to grow on me.

What I don't get is people get excited over what headers or a tune does. It's not like the LS3 motor just came out.

Why advertise for something Chevy can't deliver? I have seen so few of them. Most dealerships within a 800 mile radius of me got 0-2 camaros each.

Lowest units per months of any new car Ive ever seen come out. They ranted and raved about it for years and years trying to drum up support and they can't push any volume to get them "on the shelves."

I had the ability to purchase this car even at over MSRP and Chevy let me down. You CAN'T find them anywhere. I just nabbed a GXP and that was hard enough to find.

Wow, we've got about 4 sitting around at local dealerships. 2 V6's and 2 V8's, all have markups. Then again, SC has been hit hard by unemployment. I spent over 3 months without a job.........well, I'm also lazy, but that's not important.

If you guys gotta have one, come on down here. I'm sure they're markup isn't too high. Actually, one dealer said they would work on getting rid of the markup for when I said no chance in heck for above MSRP. Dunno if they were serious, hopefully I can find out in the near future.
