I've not had seat time in a convertible unless you count sitting in one in the showroom. My opinion, for what it is worth, is that it would be a solid upgrade over a '99 Z28 (I own one too). The visibility issues in the 6th Gen are minimized with the top down, of course, but otherwise still exist. The car is a performer though, so if you can get passed the cost and don't need a back seat (my 2 biggest complaints), then I think you'll enjoy it.

Its definitely a fun car! The matt in the trunk that goes up to protect the spacing needed for the top is a little funky. The clips can break, then you get all sorts of top not secure errors on the dash. Overall its a fun car you should buy it!
