2020 1SS Camaro Performance Upgrade
What simple upgrades can I do to a 2020 1SS Camaro with 10 speed auto trans and dual mode exhaust to make it 500 hp?

A blower.
I'm not the biggest expert and only got my SS 1LE back in November, but breaking 500 WHP with simple, N/A mods will be hard to do especially with an automatic. If you're willing to cam it then no problem.
Some longtubes, delete the rear cats, a ported MSD, ported LT5 or larger TB, a good CAI, and going E85 with a good tune from an experienced GEN5 SBC tuner might get you there.
From my understanding you can break the 600WHP barrier N/A with the mods I listed and some ported heads and a smartly spec'd cam. This also gives you the perfect opportunity to get rid of the POS AFM(DOD) lifters. Again you need to seek knowledgeable GEN5 motor shops to do business with if you wish to make these kinds of #.

There is no gains on the exhaust post cats. Cat delete pipes are worth 10whp or so. Catless headers are worth 20-25whp.
Flex sensor and E85 tune is worth 25whp.
Ported stock IM/TB is worth 15-17whp.
Rotofab is the best CAI. Worth about 8-10whp.
FBO cars normally end up in the 480-500whp range
Heads/Cam/Intake setups will vary in power. Pray Performance and GPI have combos making anywhere from 550-700whp NA. Your average street combo will land in the 550-600whp range.

cam to get there with 91 or 93 , along with headers , cai and tune Cam swaps are a lot more involved than on ls cars ,aka more expensive . So look at a blower , procharger or whipple are two brands to look at . have to look at price per dollar and if you think you will want more down the road . The supercharger is nice bc you dont need to do a cam and you will pick up some good power.

Not off hand but search Brandon Hill. He has a SBE LT1 with CID heads, ported High ram, and GPI track attack cam. Made over 750hp on a engine dyno and ran mid low 9's...daily driven.
Pray Performance(search his FB page) just finished up a 427 LTx nitrous motor that has his ported stock castings and it made over 700whp in 5th gear...A8 car so not 1:1. Likely would be 720whp + in 6th 1:1.

You might discover that Heads and Cam aren't as cost effective as a Supercharger kit. (Especially if you're running 93 octane)
There are three main kits to choose from:
Magnusson (about 540 whp)
Whipple (about 560 whp)
Procharger (about 525 whp)
My 2016 1SS made 415 whp stock
They come with everything you need including a tune. Unfortunately upgrading from that point can get very expensive. (Fuel system/Cam/Pistons/tuning)

Good info here: Just to touch on these blowers, here's what to expect.
The Magnusson and Whipple boost will be instantaneous, where the Procharger will gradually build boost which isn't as violent and helps with traction at lower RPMs. Keep us posted!

I'm not sure where you got the "Procharger" info from, but my 17 SS 1LE with a D1SC and the full LT4 fuel system is making around 650rwhp. So 520rwhp is really low and not the reality of what the Prochargers will actually put down.
