Default help me choose a new ride

Hi
I sold my 99z28 to my nephew. The cars I narrowed search to are 04 c5 vette, 06 gto, 06 srt8 300c, 09 g8 gt. I am purchasing this week, cash in hand. I'm a para in a wheelchair from a factory accident as a teen, so the vette would be the least practicle but most fun. I had a c4 vetteand had no prob fitting my chair in the hatch area and my 7 ft fishing rods.lol Thanks!!

The G8 and SRT8 are without a doubt the biggest of the cars. But I'd probably say go with the GTO. They're such nice cars for what they cost... Not to mention fast as hell!! Well, good luck with you're decision!

The vette probably is faster, but I freakin love the 05-06 GTO. It's pretty damn fast for being as heavy as it is.

I'd go with the SRT8, the GT0 is a nice car, but the trunk is small and it's not easy to get in the back seats.

I voted the G8. The GTO is a close second. Would you like 2 or 4 doors? I think there are too many vettes on the road as it is. You probably wont have to worry about an 09 being ragged out either.

I've never owned a 4door in 26yrs of driving but don't mind as long as the car is competitive with my friends 06 gto and bro's lightly modded 350z before I start the modifications. Also, the srt8 and g8's are attractive because of their transmissions being better than the 4l60/4l65 in both strength and additional gears. Not a big fan of roll racing, but those rare instances tended to suck having a 4spd auto. Thanks for all the helpful feedback so far.

I voted for the SRT-8. The vette is cool but too impractical. And the srt-8 will run right with it in a straight line. THe srt-8 has ripped 12's stock. Pretty stout car.

I have driven all the cars mentioned, and the best bet IMO is hands down the srt-8 300.

Goat followed by the G8. I think you would like the GTO, but maybe the G8 would be more practical for your situation?

I'm sorry to hear about your accident.. The G8 I think would be best for you. Its a Pontiac and its got the Vette motor and it looks sweet inside and out. A Challenger or Charger wouldn't be a bad idea. You can't fit anything in the Vette and the GTO is too small I think. JMO

1st i asked are you jsut looking for a race car or a daily driver? If your looking just for something fast thats not driven everyday my order would be corvette, g8, gto, srt8 (although i love the challenger ) If its a car that will be daily driven i would say g8, gto, srt8, corvette. If mpg is a concern the srt8 is by far the worse as that thing sips gas fast lol.. goodluck with your purchase and sorry to hear about the accident

As far as the accident, thanks for the kind words. I've been able to help others thru my injury by being a counselor to the newly injured and their families for 21 years and I go to area schools to do injury prevention classes. Gotta make a positive outta life's negatives.lol

As far as the car, definitely a 12 month a year daily driver that i would like to run at least mid 12's with, fuel mileage not that important.

I'd go with the G8, they really do look sweet and are decent in stock form. People are already making mid 400 whp with exhaust/cam in them Plus it's a brand new car that can be had for fairly cheap.
