Default Salvage LSX engine needed

Can't find any at my local salvage yard. Anybody know where to get a salvage LSX engine? Doesn't have to work.

My Z06 got totalled in a fire, but my 402 stroker is still good. Insurance will let me replace it with a salvage engine before they haul it away.

It would be easier to help if you told us where you are.

I really would prefer a dud engine, so if anybody knows where some dead metal that needs to be moved is located it would help me out a lot. The engine can look modified or not, but it just needs to look like it should be there.

Go the Florida pages on Craigslist and just search for "LS1" or "LQ4" or "5.3". They all look the same for the most part and 5.3s can be had complete for like $500.

With a 5.3, do they drop in and fit the engine mounts? Any swap issues?

thx.

It is going into a Z06. Doesn't the intake manifold look a lot different on the 5.3? I wonder if the manifold might keep the hood from closing. Is there something that should be done, preferably cheaply.

Here is a photo from another post showing what seems to be the most common configuration I am finding:
