Default Newb with Q's easiest way to deep 11's or high 10's all motor

I am a newb to this site but have been wondering about a Gto 05 or 06 or a 2000 to 2002 camaro or t/a . The goal is a low 11 sec high 10 sec all motor daily driver summer car. any ideas would be help full. (ps I tried to search as much as I could for about 4 hours trying to find some info )

you can have a low 11 sec or high 10 sec car with a stroker kit and good heads like afr 215 and a custom cam that will tie everything together but also you will need supporting mods!! I will go with a camaro or t/a i bought my 98 Z28 camaro t-tops 91k miles and clean tittle with a bad engine for 2500 the money a save i bought a stroker kit from texas speed and a 02 engine block that i pay 400

full boltons with a big *** stalled auto with some weight reduction can get you low 11s in an fbody.

So a fbody is the way to go for cheep fast. with a stroker rebuild. Stalled out trans, and supporting rear end mods.

I don't even think you need a rebuild....full bolt-ons, stall, suspension mods, and maybe a cam should be all you need for 11's. However, to do so reliably, looking into a 12 bolt rear and a transmission upgrade might not be a bad idea

EDIT: maybe tires too....

If your looking for cheap performance then yea f body is a better choice, because its older so its going to be cheaper and there lighter. But IMO the GTO is nicer and has better interior but weighs more so its going to take more to run the same times.

doesnt mattetr if only a camaro can be a z28 an ss looks better, handles better, and has a little more horse. and whats with all the stalls.....real race cars have a clutch. that is if you know how to drive.

I laugh every time I see someone post how much better SS's are then Z/28's. What exactly gave them more power? It might of had a little better exhaust but thats usually the first thing people switch (even SS owners). Same goes with the handling, etc. Looks better? sure it has a hood and spoiler, but its basically the same car. And as far as the "real race cars have a clutch" Im sure there are plenty of "fake" race cars on this site that can smoke your SS.

If you really believe that SS's are that great, do you think that Corvette LS1's really make more HP then Camaro LS1's?

I'm pretty sure he means you can get a Cobalt SS, Monte SS, Impy SS, ect. But the only thing that has the "z/28" moniker is a Camaro.

....though you can get a z/24 cavy, and a z/26 baretta
