Default Headers?

Ok gonna order some LT's in the next few days and not sure which ones to get. Don't want to pay the price for kooks but also don't want to go cheap. Somewhere in between and around the $400 mark what do you guys suggest? Thanks

Pacesetters and TSPs are pretty nice and roughly in that price range.

Google the part number of the pacesetters you want. I found the cheapest spot for painted, race style headers and got a set for $250 shipped. With a light sanding and an extra coat of high-temp paint they will hold up for years.

i run the pacesetters and happy with them. pacesetters are a very good performing header for the price. But the TSP headers are 1 7/8 for almost the same price i think just a tad bit more.

i spliced mine. they had been spliced by the previous owner, and the o2 sensors were bad. when i swapped new ones in i just spliced those and haven't had any problems.

just make sure you solder the wires (don't just use crimp connectors), get a good clean connection, and seal the wire well with the appropriate heat shrink wrap

Get the extensions. I paid $30 for both.

You could also look at the BBK headers and Hooker headers. The BBK's I hear have amazing fitment, and they are about $370 to boot (includes Y pipe). I think the Hookers are around $400 or so, with the Y pipe being extra.

You can buy ceramic coated Pacesetters and a off road Y pipe from Texas Speed for less than $500. Get the ceramic coated instead of painted. The paint will not hold up. The coated ones will last forever. I have 219,000 + miles on a set of coated Pacesetters and they still look great after all these years with no rust.

I had less than 40,000 miles on Pacesetters when they came off, but the ceramic from halfway down the primary to the end of the collector was missing less than 6 months after I had them installed.
