Ive got 103,000 on mine and just added a nitrous system and am going to stall it, it was a depressing day when mine rolled over 100k, all ive done to mine is regular maintenance, i run royal purple and flushed the tranny not too long ago, i think my rearend is going out though.

I know high mileage sounds sad, but you should be more proud than anything at your accomplishments keeping it well maintained and running that long. Some tools cant make it 50k without screwing something up horribly.

i was spraying 75 wet shot on my 130k LT1, and sold it at 145k. When I sold it, the engine still runs strong, rear end did not whine.

Here are a couple of pictures that I took this past weekend.

I bought this car in September 2001 for $19K with 35K miles on the odometer.

I'm on the second set of plugs and wires and changed all fluids to synthetic years ago.

The following are still original (defined as when I bought the car at 35K miles):

exhaust (with exception of flowmaster muffler)
O2 sensors
springs
steering linkages
engine and trans (2nd clutch)

The drivers side seat needs to be recovered, the drivers floor mat is worn thru .... otherwise the interior is pretty nice.

I've added an aftermarket stereo that allows me to bluetooth my cell phone to the stereo system, and includes an Ipod connection. The bluetooth connection also supports the GPS app on my HTC EVO 4G cell phone .... so the navi chick talks to me too. Plus I can listen to Pandora. I love this stereo setup !!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. My gas mileage averages consistently at 26.5 mpg. I keep track of each tank of gas that I buy and the mileage associated with it. My daily commute is 45 miles each way, mostly four lane highway. Some in-town driving with each tank. The worst that I've gotten is 24.5 mpg, and the best was almost 28 mpg ..... but generally it stays at 26.5 mpg. I've kept track for the past 6+ years ... which has been fairly easy to do since I'm the only one driving this car. My wife and sons use the other cars (Honda, Jeep and Suburban ... so I have no consistent records with them.)

Congrats on reaching 200k man. My 3800 has 174k but I replaced the engine and trans at 150k since I had a wrecked 2000 3800 lying around. Either way... 1 alternator, 1 fuel pump, and 1 power steering pump lol. That's it from when I bought it with 90k. Not too shabby.

Keep it going and see if you can break 300k!

Crazy high gas mileage numbers FTW! 28mpg is nuts...

Are you dividing the mileage by how much you put in the tank when you fill her up??? PRetty crazy numbers... Especially the h/c setup guy saying he gets 28on the highway... Not calling BS, just curious if your doing it that way or not.

nice. i'm glad to see people not afraid to drive their cars instead of keeping them in a garage. my '02 has 107,000, still running and looking great. i keep up with maintence. i'd drive it anywhere. sucks that i live down a long dirt road, but at least it's pewter the way i see it, when something breaks or wears out, i'll just upgrade it.
