Default '99 z28 dd - 200k

Hey guys .... I drive a '99 Z28 M6 as my daily driver. My current round trip commute is about 90 miles.

Here's what I saw on the way home last week ......

This car is pretty much stock. I'm on my second clutch and third alternator. Otherwise, it's pretty much original. I've kept all of the fluids changed.

I consistently get 26.5 mpg for a mix of mostly highway miles. The body is in pretty decent shape .... just some "sandblasting" of the front fascia and windshield.

No complaints about this car or the service that I out of Chevrolets. My '01 Suburban is running a close second with approx 170K miles.

And I complained when I rolled over 100k last month going 200 miles a week in my car Just goes to show that anything can last forever as long as it's maintained properly..........unless it's a rotary, those are fucked to begin with.

Congratulations, and real tip of the hat to your maintenance prowess. The LS1 gods are impressed.

Good job, OP. If you keep this up you could submit the car's accomplishment to GM and maybe they'll give you a new Camaro or something...

Congrats on hitting the 200K mark.

Not an F-body, but my 2001 Silverado HD with an LQ4 has 147K and runs awesome. Religious Amsoil/Mobil 1 oil changes and keeping up on basic maintenance. Original 4L80E and rear end are also doing great.

Very cool. I've put about the last 92k on my of 148 or so it's got now, and trust me, this car has not been babied, chirped second got to be hundreds of times and third quite a few too. I drive mine about 8 mos a year. Almost ready to turn it into a project car, but it's still going so I still drive it.

I am at 214,000, but it's been down for the last year because of trans (A4). Going to go ahead and get the trans worked on.
